For over 85 years, Sugar Bowl has been a hub for top-tier snowsports athletes. Our new, full-size progression facility delivers a world-class athlete training center that empowers dedicated athletes to achieve their goals on the national stage or at the highest levels of international competition.

Sugar Bowl Parks offers seamless progression from junior development to elite performance. Our coaches, terrain, and pro-level center will foster the next generation of freeski and snowboard athletes—helping them progress from local talent to the world stage. 

Sugar Bowl Parks is committed to tailored progression. We’ve partnered with some of the top minds in terrain park design to craft a facility that allows athletes to develop their skills at every level. This isn’t just about jumps and rails—it’s about creating a California-based training ground that allows athletes to reach their peak potential. 

Our goal? To provide a unique and advanced environment where freestyle athletes can progress through the ranks—mastering everything to get from rookie to pro.

With the launch of the first phase of Sugar Bowl Parks this year, we will continue to build on the vision and begin earth work planning this summer. We’re just getting started, bringing a whole new culture to the mountain like never before—and something big is on the way. 

The park is strategically located in prime terrain and is designed with international influence. Access to the high-speed Christmas Tree Express Lift makes for faster lap times and maximized training sessions. 

Our in-house talent is composed of masterminds in park design, bringing over 20 years of experience. We’ve also partnered with industry veterans, such as Charles Beckinsale & Steve Petrie, as we build out a new world-class facility.

Freestyle Terrain may contain jumps, hits, ramps, banks, fun boxes, jibs, rails, half pipes, quarter pipes, snowcross, bump terrain and other constructed or natural terrain features.  PRIOR to using Freestyle Terrain, you are responsible for familiarizing yourself with Freestyle Terrain and being all instructions, warnings and signs.  Freestyle skills require maintaining control on the ground, and in other air.
