The Sugar Bowl Uphill Travel Policy has been modified this season for the safety of our guests. When open, uphill routes will be available from 7:00am - 7:00pm, with the exception of the Disney uphill route, which closes at 4:00pm. Uphill travel is not permitted on Mt. Disney/Crow's after 4:00pm daily due to snowcat operations, including cat-winching which poses a serious hazard for participants. After 4:00pm, please utilize the approved routes on Mt. Lincoln or Mt. Judah only.

Uphill use of the resort and its surrounding areas by means of skinning have gained popularity at Sugar Bowl.

Uphill travel is available to season passholders.

Tuesday, March 25 - Uphill is open on Lincoln and Judah routes. Disney uphill route has closed for the day. Wednesday, March 26 - Uphill will open on all routes at 7am.


Route status information listed here is updated by 7:00am with the uphill status for that day, and again at 5:00pm with the uphill status for the following day.

The Sugar Bowl Uphiller
Calling all ski tourers and splitboarders: Join us for the 4th Annual Sugar Bowl Uphiller this April 16th!

Who remembers the infamous Quad Crusher? This event is a spin-off that still involves uphill travel, but allows participants to choose the amount of vertical climbing they want to do. The goal is to rack up as many human-powered “Lincoln laps” as you can in a day… without the help of a chairlift.
