At Sugar Bowl, our limited-edition passholder beanies have become a cherished tradition and a fun way to celebrate our community. Each year, we host a Beanie Design Contest in the spring, where our passholders vote to choose the winning design. The selected beanie is then brought to life and distributed throughout the following season, adding an extra layer of excitement to your time on the mountain.
These exclusive beanies are our way of saying thank you to passholders, and they’ve become a must-have for many. From their unique designs to the thrill of tracking one down, passholder beanies are more than just headwear—they’re a badge of honor for Sugar Bowl fans.
How Can You Score a Passholder Beanie?
Join the beanie-mania! Here are a few ways you can snag a beanie:
1. Beanie Drops
We regularly host Beanie Drops throughout the season, and here’s how it works: Beanie Drops can be announced via email, social media, and/or text alerts. On the day of a drop, we’ll send a text to our Beanie list with the location and time.
To join the list, text PASSHOLDER to 855-835-5599. (You must be present at the drop and show your valid Sugar Bowl season pass.)
Beanie Drops are first come, first served, with limited quantities available each time. Don’t worry if you miss one—we mix it up with drops happening midweek, weekends, holidays, mornings, afternoons, and après to give everyone a chance to participate.
2. Chalet Retail
New for the 2024/25 season, a limited supply of passholder beanies are available for purchase at the Chalet Retail Shop near the Village Lodge. It’s the perfect option for those who prefer a sure thing. Simply ask one of our staff members and show your pass.
3. Mountain Giveaways
Sometimes, the best surprises come when you least expect them. Throughout the season, we’ll be handing out beanies randomly on the mountain during special occasions like powder days, events, first chairs, and après. Keep your eyes peeled—you never know when a beanie might find you!
