Sugar Bowl Poker Run

Have you ever played poker on snow? Join us for our annual family-friendly Poker Run. You don’t need to know how to play poker, just ski and ride around the resort, visiting at least five of our Poker Chip Stations which are located all over the mountain.
*Lift ticket or valid season pass required to participate. Discounted lift tickets available for event participants.

Schedule


9am-11am: We will have an information tent at Judah Lodge and provide a course overview with Poker Chip Station locations, or you can view the online map and head straight out onto the mountain.
9am-2pm: Ski or ride around the mountain to different Poker Chip Stations, remember to take selfies to prove you were there!
12pm-2pm: Return to Judah Lodge, show us photos of 5-7 selfies from different Poker Chip Stations and the dealer will deal out your hand.
12pm-4pm: Live Music & After Party
2:30pm: Awards & raffle




How to Play



1. Pre-register on this page.
2. On the day of the event, view the Poker Run trail map online or outside of the Judah Lodge and take note of the locations of all the locations of the Poker Chip Stations.
3. Plan your route to all of the Poker Chip Stations, ski/ride to each zone, and take a selfie to prove you were there.
4. Return back to the lodge within the time limit and you’ll earn a card in your poker hand for each station you visit. We’ll choose your best hand for you, and stack you up against other players to determine who wins! $1000 and tons of great prizes are up for grabs.

The day before the event, we will provide you with a map of 10 locations you can visit. You can choose to go to as few as 5 stations or as many as 7 stations. There will also be 2 jokers hidden around the mountain. There is no set route and this is not a race, just a fun way to explore the mountain.

Cash and prizes will be awarded to the best 3 hands. Grand Prize $1000.

Poker Chip Locations


There is no more required registration the morning of the event. If you know how to play, you pre-registered, and you have your season pass or lift ticket, you can just hit the slopes and go.
The day before the event, we will post the map of all the poker chip locations. You can take a screenshot or save the image on your phone to use throughout the day. There will be a large map at the info tent outside Judah Lodge if you want to come by and ask any questions.

Bonus: Win Best Poker Face

Okay, maybe you didn't get the best hand... but did you take a great photo? Post your Poker Chip selfies to your Instagram story or feed, tag @sugarbowlresort and use hashtag #pokerface. We will select our favorite photo from one of the event participants and they will win an incredible prize pack from some of our event sponsors. Make sure you post by the close of the dealer tables at 2pm on the day of the event, so your submission can be considered.
